What we record
Each product has a stable ID, brand, exact variant description, category, review date and field-level evidence. Shared family data is merged first; a product-specific field overrides it. Dimensions keep their axes and units. Price is a dated observation, not a checkout quote.
Evidence labels
Manufacturer claim
Published by the maker. We label it as a claim unless an exact independent or regulator source confirms the same field.
Regulator or certification listing
Used only for the exact model and scope named by the listing. Similar names or family membership do not extend the result.
Dated observation
A page condition observed on a stated date, such as price or stock. Delivery, tax, configuration and later changes may differ.
Disputed
Usable sources conflict or a dimension’s axes cannot be reconciled. The stored value remains null and the field cannot establish a finder constraint.
Not established
No eligible evidence was found for the exact record. This does not mean zero, absent or false.
Finder rules
- Apply storage type and placement category.
- Require an eligible fire field when fire protection is selected.
- For a finite budget, require an eligible observed price at or below the limit.
- For entered fit limits, require eligible closed-exterior dimensions that fit every entered axis.
- For an entry preference, require documented matching entry or power information.
- Return no match when evidence is insufficient. Never drop a hard constraint to fill the shortlist.
Mixed-collection capacity is currently not documented consistently, so the finder reports that limitation. Product matches are research shortlists, not purchase, legal, installation or safety recommendations.
Price freshness
Prices and stock are observations tied to their checked date. The working publication policy is to recheck after 30 days and before presenting a commercial purchase link. Unknown or stale prices must not establish a finite-budget match.
Editorial and commercial independence
Products do not pay for rank or inclusion. There are currently no affiliate links. If compensation begins, it will be disclosed close to affected links and will not change the field rules. See the affiliate disclosure.
Corrections and limitations
This first catalog is not exhaustive and does not include hands-on destructive, forced-entry or fire testing. Ten records currently contain at least one structured conflict, and every record has at least one field not established. Corrections require an exact source, model/variant and date; a dedicated corrections channel will be listed when direct contact features are introduced.
